Sizing and Fit

Why Ankle Sleeves Roll or Slip

An ankle sleeve commonly rolls or slips when its size, heel placement or strap tension are not settled correctly, or when a sock or shoe pulls the material as it goes on.

Check these points

Start with your ankle measurement, taken about 2 inches (5 cm) above the ankle bone, and compare it with the published ranges. Then make sure the heel is seated properly inside the closed heel panel before you fasten anything.

  1. 1Confirm your ankle measurement against the published range.
  2. 2Seat the heel fully, so the sleeve is not sitting forward toward the toes.
  3. 3Flatten both openings completely.
  4. 4Re-wrap the strap across the instep and fasten the tab flat, without twisting it.
  5. 5Put socks and shoes on without dragging the sleeve.

Footwear and garment condition

Very close footwear can catch an edge, while a loose interior may allow more movement. Test the placement before a long period of wear.

Knitted garments can change with use. If a previously stable sleeve repeatedly moves after correct placement, inspect it and the hook-and-loop tab for stretched or worn areas.
